Daniel Conforte (farminguruguay@adinet.com.uy) is founder and managing director of Farming Uruguay. He has 20 years experience in farm and agribusiness management. He is head of agribusiness management department at Universidad ORT Uruguay, where he teaches agribusiness marketing and strategy. Conforte holds a degree in agronomy and a masters degree in public administration from Harvard University. He is a visiting lecturer to Kansas State University's Master in Agribusiness, where he teaches the Mercosur module of Comparative Food and Agriculture Systems. Conforte has a vast network of contacts and relationships in industry and government and decided to start Farming Uruguay responding to suggestions and encouragement of international colleagues and former students.
